What Gunner is good at

• Fast shots and the in-game description says Gunner can hit flying zombies.
• Cheap to place (the tutorial hotbar shows $75) and up to 5 on the map.
• Damage grows from 10 to 105 with upgrades.

Weaknesses and unknowns

• Single target only: it shoots one zombie at a time, so big groups can get past.
• Range (31 to 45) is shorter than Wizard's or Sniper's.

Where to place Gunner

• Put Gunner close to the path early, where flying zombies pass, so it can pick them off.
• Spread several Gunners along the path instead of stacking them at the end.

Good pairings

These are suggestions based on the developer's and in-game ability descriptions, not on measured stats.

• Bomber: Bomber's splash handles the groups that Gunner's single-target shots cannot.
• Radar: Radar reveals hidden zombies so Gunner's fast shots can target them.
• Wizard: Wizard's freeze holds zombies in place for Gunner's fast shots.

How to get Gunner

Summon banner (Crayons). The tutorial match puts Gunner on your hotbar. The Party Gunner skin costs 79 Robux and is also in RELEASE BOX 2 (49 Robux).

Units are summoned with Crayons on the summon banner in the mall lobby. Multi-summons of up to 50 are available, and players report that multi-summons do not raise your odds. Every summon can also roll a Shiny version: 1% normally, or 3% with the Shiny Hunter game pass (499 Robux), from player level 10. The VIP pass (399 Robux) gives 10% off summons. Free Crayons come from codes while they are active, and the beginner's guide lists other early sources.

Levelling, traits and evolution

Like every unit, Gunner levels up with XP from matches, Pencils and Stasis Pods (which train a unit over time while you are away). Players report that Stamps raise the level cap. Traits are painted on with Paint Pots and can be buffs such as damage, range, boss damage or cash, or debuffs. Stat Chips and Super Chips reroll a unit's stats, and Gear from your Pencil Case can be equipped. Open the unit in game to see the materials its evolution needs.
