How do traits work in Doodle Tower Defense?
You paint a random trait onto a unit with Paint Pots. Traits can be buffs (damage, range, boss damage, cash) or debuffs, so reroll until you like it. Stat Chips and Super Chips reroll a unit’s stats, gear from your Pencil Case can be equipped, and trophies give account buffs.

How do traits work?
Painting a trait costs Paint Pots and gives the unit a random trait. Known trait types are buffs to damage, range, boss damage or cash, and debuffs. Exact trait names and odds are not published yet.
- Put boss damage traits on your Boss Rush carries.
- Cash traits help economy units and early waves.
- Do not waste Paint Pots on units you will replace soon.
Where do Paint Pots come from?
Codes (YOUTUBE gave 2), the mall tour (players report 5), bundles, Paint Pot packs (149 Robux for 8 up to 1,799 Robux for 150) and the Paint Pot Calendar (299 Robux: 3 per day and 13 on day 30, 100 in total; a missed day is gone). See currencies.
What do Stat Chips and Super Chips do?
They reroll a unit's stats. Players report the mall tour gives 5 Stat Chips; bundles include 2 to 80 Stat Chips and 1 to 30 Super Chips. Unit panels show grades for stats (for example a Dragon with damage grade C, speed B and range A), so chips are how you chase better grades.
How does gear work?
Gear items such as scissors, staplers and highlighters are stored in your Pencil Case and can be equipped on units. The Extra Gear Storage pass (79 Robux) adds 100 gear slots. Players report the mall tour gives an epic gear item.
What are trophies?
Trophies go on your profile shelf and give buffs. One slot is free; the store unlocks slot 2 (49 Robux) and slot 3 (99 Robux), and the Trophy Slot pass (149 Robux) adds a fourth, “so more trophy buffs run at once”. Which trophies exist and what they do is TBD.
